The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has recruited a new director of finance, Peter Sarwat, (38).

TFF Secretary-General said yesterday that Sarwat defeated 41 other candidates who had applied for the top job.

He said the interview was conducted by a Fifa recognised firm, Deloitte & Touche, in the city.

He said the trio would be in a probation period for six month before signing a two-year contract. Their appointments started on July 1.

Mwakalebela said TFF executive committee which met on June 30 approved him to continuing serving the body for one more month until July 15. His contract ended on June 15.

This experience has provided me with a very useful insight into football and the opportunity to carry out extensive research into the game including its players, the stadiums, the rules and tactics and I have also been grateful to meet a wide range of people connected to football in the UK, Tanzania, Germany .....
