Stars waagwa kwa matumaini

Kikosi cha timu ya soka ya Tanzania, Taifa Stars, kiko tayari kwa ajili ya mchezo wake dhidi ya wenzao wa Chad utakaofanyika Ijumaa mjini N’Djamena, ilielezwa jana.

Stars na Chad ambao watarudiana Novemba 15 kwenye Uwanja wa Taifa jijini Dar es Salaam, wanawania nafasi ya kuingia katika hatua ya makundi ya kuwania kufuzu kwa fainali za Kombe la Dunia za mwaka 2014 zitakazofanyika Brazil.

Akizungumza na gazeti hili jana, Meneja wa Stars, Leopold Mukebezi ‘Tasso’, alisema kuwa wachezaji wote walioitwa kujiandaa na mchezo huo wamewasili na tayari wameshajipanga kwenda kuwavaa Chad na wanaamini watarejea nyumbani wakiwa na furaha.

Tasso alisema kuwa wamejipanga kutumia silaha zao zote kuhakikisha kuwa wanashinda mechi hiyo ya ugenini ili iwe kazi nyepesi kwao katika mechi ya marudiano.

“Unapoenda kucheza na timu usiyoifahamu unapaswa kutumia silaha zote ulizonazo. Chad ni timu kubwa tofauti na watu wengi wanavyoichukulia,” alisema meneja huyo.

Aliongeza kuwa ukiondoa beki Nadir Haroub ‘Cannavaro’ ambaye aliumia mwishoni mwa wiki, wachezaji wengine wote wako katika hali nzuri na wanachosubiri ni kuipeperusha vyema bendera ya taifa.

Hata hivyo, Tasso ambaye aliwahi kuichezea Stars, alisema kwamba mechi hiyo itakuwa ngumu na baada ya kufahamu jambo hilo, wamewataka wachezaji wao wasiwadharau wapinzani kwa kudanganyika na taarifa za viwango vya ubora vinavyotolewa kila mwezi na Shirikisho la Soka la Kimataifa (FIFA).

“Tunafahamu kuwa tunakabiliwa na mechi ngumu. Tumeliona hilo na hatutaki kupoteza muda hata wa kukaa uwanja wa ndege na ndio maana tumetuma kiongozi mapema kufuatilia viza ya kuingia huko,” alisema Tasso.

Stars ambayo inaondoka nchini kesho mchana kuelekea N’Djamena, ilitarajiwa kuagwa rasmi jana usiku na kukabidhiwa bendera ya taifa.

Mjumbe wa Kamati ya Utendaji ya Shirikisho la Soka Nchini (TFF), Eliud Mvella, ndiye atakayekuwa kiongozi wa msafara wa timu hiyo pamoja na wajumbe kutoka Baraza la Michezo la Taifa (BMT).
